For the interest of our international readers, we publish a translation on the news about the new anti-imperialist organization of the youth at the Lumo high school in Vantaa, shared originally by Anti-imperialists – Helsinki on Instagram.
The organization reports:
”Inspired by the example of Anti-imperialists – Helsinki, we have decided to organize ourselves in our school. On 27th of October we held the founding meeting of our organization. In the meeting a speech on anti-imperialism and the need to organize was heard. There was also a presentation on anti-imperialist struggle around the world. In the meeting there was lively discussion on Finnish imperialism, the relation of pacifism and opportunism to imperialism and the role of the bourgeois media in imperialism.”

Program
The crisis of imperialism is deeping, no one can deny this today. Wars of aggression, disputes between imperialists, misery, hunger, environmental catastrofes…. These are the ”gifts” of the imperialist world order to the world. The oppressed peoples and classes of the world are suffering, the world is on fire. In the world there are just and brave struggles against imperialism, in India, Peru, Turkey or the Philippines there are People’s Wars, in Palestine there is armed struggle and in Brazil there are peasant struggles.
The youth recognises the decay of imperialism instinctively. Growing up, we have heard the lies of the bourgeoisie about the ”welfare State” and ”democracy”, we have been promised a bright and prosperous future. But where is it! The understanding of the youth of their dark future can manifest in different ways, for example in extreme pessimism or climate anxiety. Even though these thoughts are based on reality, the rage of the youth does not see the true source of their problems, imperialism.
We must share our understanding of imperialism among the youth, support all international anti-imperialist struggles and do our share in organizing the anti-imperialist struggle. The youth can have a future when imperialism has been swept away from the face of the earth, to the dustbin of history.
We declare as our program the following:
1. We oppose all imperialism and reaction. We recognise the United States as the sole hegemonic superpower of the world, we recognise Russia as an atomic superpower, we recognise China as a social-imperialist country. We recognise the ”European Union” as an imperialist alliance under the hegemony of German imperialism. We recognise Finland as an imperialist country.
2. We support the People’s Wars and all anti-imperialist armed struggles, which the oppressed peoples and classes wage against imperialism for their liberation. We support the right of the anti-imperialist movements to choose the forms of their struggle. We oppose the lie of the reaction that these combatants are ”terrorists” and we actively struggle against this conception.
3. We oppose racism, patriarchy, militarism, fascism, capitalist monopolies, environmental destruction and all reaction as a part of our anti-imperialist program. We stand with revolutionary and anti-imperialist prisoners and prisoners of war and we give them our full support. We support the nations’ right of self-determination.
4. The anti-imperialists of Lumo high school supports the uniting of anti-imperilists in the world. It wants to build a united anti-imperialist movement in Finland and it supports and keeps in contact with other organizations sharing the same goal, such as Anti-imperialists – Helsinki.
5. We recognise the lessons of the educational system on history and the world situation as imperialist lies, serving the purpose of to make the youth bow down to and to worship Finnish imperialism. We fight dutifylly to denounce these lies among the youth.
6. We strive to realize the immense power of the youth, to organize their yearning to rebel, focusing it on to the main reason for their problems, imperialism.
Down with imperialism!
It is right to rebel!
