Anti-imperialistinen kollektiivi (AIK) raportoi mielenosoituksesta Tampereella (English below):
“26.5. osoitimme mieltä Tampereen keskustorilla. Vaadimme tuomiolle Suomen vallanpitäjiä, jotka ovat Israelin rikoskumppaneita kansanmurhassa. Osoitimme ehdotonta solidaarisuutta kansanmurhan alla taistelevan Palestiinan kansan vastarinnalle. Taistelevaa henkeä vahvistivat useat mukaan liittyneet ja tuttavuutta tehneet ihmiset. Meille painajaismaisista hirveyksistä ja murheesta kertoneiden palestiinalaisten sydämet sykkivät ehtymätöntä uskoa siihen, että suunnattomien uhrauksien ja vastarinnan kautta kansa tulee lopulta voittamaan. AIK:n puheen jälkeen kuultiin myös toinen valmisteltu puhe, palestiinalainen runo, sekä spontaani puhe. Eri puheissa osoitettiin seikkaperäisemmin suomalaisen imperialismin hallitsevan luokan liiketoiminnan ja politiikan syyllisyyttä ja kaksinaamaisuutta, jenkki-imperialismin johtavaa roolia Israelin takana, monopolien ja sotateollisuuden ykseyttä, sekä median tekopyhää suhdetta aseelliseen taisteluun. Lopuksi yhteishuudot kaikuivat vielä kerran torilla, ja mielenosoitus päätettiin symboliseen Israelin lipun polttoon.“
“May 26th we demonstrated at the Tampere central square. We demanded punishment for the rulers of Finland, who are Israel’s partners-in-genocide. We expressed absolute solidarity for the Palestinian people’s resistance struggling under genocide. The combative spirit was strengthened by many of those who joined and who we got acquainted with. The Palestinians, who told us about nightmarish horrors and sorrow, had hearts beating with inexhaustible faith in that through enormous sacrifices and resistance, the people will ultimately win. After AIK’s speech, another prepared speech and a Palestinian poem, and also a spontaneous speech were heard. The different speeches pointed more specifically the guilt and two-facedness of the business and politics of the ruling class of Finnish imperalism, the leading role of Yankee imperialism behind Israel, the oneness of the monopolies and the miltary industty, as well as the media’s hypocricy towards armed struggle. At the end, common shouts echoed once more in the square, and the demonstration ended with the symbolic burning of the Israeli flag.”
