Anti-imperialistit – Helsinki (AIH) järjesti grillaustapahtuman Helsingin Itäkeskuksessa 17.5. Perun kansansodan alkamisen 45-vuotispäivänä. Järjestö kertoo tapahtumasta Instagramissa:
”Säännöllinen grillauksemme 17.5. tapahtui samana päivänä, kun kansansota Perussa täytti 45 vuotta.
Solidaarisudessa kansansodalle Perussa jaoimme aihetta koskevia lentolehtisiä, mutta mielenkiintoiset keskustelut koskettivat laajasti muitakin kysymyksiä. Saimme paljon keskustelua aikaan joukkojen arkisista huolista, ja tässä keskustelussa joukot nostivat useita ongelmiaan, kuten korkean inflaation ja matalat palkat.
Tapahtumamme oli tavallista vilkkaampi viereisen Idän kyläjuhlan johdosta, ja tapahtumamme sai joukoilta paljon sympatiaa. Nähdään taas Stoalla 31.5. klo 16 alkaen!”
Festival of Resistances
Helsingissä järjestetään Festival of Restistances -tapahtuma tiistaina 27.5. Tapahtuman juliste on julkaistu Instagramissa:

Tapahtumassa järjestetään erilaisia työpajoja. Työpajoja pitävät Kiss My ARS Collective, Rhythms of Resistance ja AIH. AIH:n työpajan aiheena on Brasilian talonpoikien taistelu. Seuraavassa AIH:n työpajan kutsuteksti:

Starting from 12:00 h at the Panel Tent, @antiimperialists_helsinki will hold a participative workshop on the peasant struggle in Brazil, after which you can follow them to the Art Corner, where you’ll have an opportunity to prepare and make the banners for our demonstration.
About the organisation:
We are an anti-imperialist organization in Helsinki founded in September of 2024. We have been working to organize and mobilize people into the struggle against imperialism, which we see as the struggle against capitalism in its highest stage. We want to stand in firm solidarity with the workers and oppressed peoples of the world, and see that the best service we can do them here in Finland is to struggle against Finnish imperialism.
About the workshop:
Our workshop in FoR focuses on the peasant struggle for land in Brazil. Especially recently the struggle has escalated, as the big landlords have increased their brutal attacks and the peasants have been waging a victorious resistance. The workshop will start with a presentation on the situation, after which there will be time for questions. The informational part of our workshop will be followed by some time to make flags and/or a banner.
